CONTEXT:
How Might We foster emotional connection between mothers and young-adult daughters in long distance relationships as they navigate their new relationship dynamic?
CHALLENGE:
A pair of digital whiteboards for empty nest mothers and daughters. It aims to facilitate connection through passive interaction to capture the essence of each other's in-person presence.
SOLUTION:
Leaving the nest is a key phase for parents, and the added distance can transform the parenting experience. Our research consisted of interviews and diary entries from three different pairs of mothers and daughters to better understand this transition.
